CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: The nationwide Skill Development Yatra was flagged off by AISECT, in collaboration with Scope Global Skills University and Rabindranath Tagore University, with the objective of raising awareness about the National Education Policy among students and providing career counseling. AISECT has been consistently working in the field of skill development and higher education for the past 39 years.

The event’s chief guest was Siddharth Chaturvedi, Chancellor of Scope Global Skills University. Other notable guests included SGSU Vice Chancellor Ajay Bhushan, Registrar Sitesh Sinha, AISECT AGM Abhishek Gupta, AISECT National Network Manager Rajesh Panda, and Rajesh Shukla, Zonal Head of Madhya Pradesh. Siddharth Chaturvedi officially launched the yatra by flagging it off. In his speech, he highlighted that this journey will reach a large number of students across 300 districts and 500 schools, colleges, and institutes in 22 states, raising awareness about the importance of skill development. He also emphasized that the yatra aims to connect students with entrepreneurship, skill development, and higher education, while showcasing AISECT and AISECT University Group’s innovations. Additionally, experts accompanying the yatra will provide career guidance and explain the significance of skill development to students.

Rajesh Panda, AISECT’s National Network Manager, stated that the Skill Development Yatra is a unique effort by AISECT over the years to help young people understand the importance of developing skills, and it has been recognized by national and international agencies. The yatra will introduce branches and students to AISECT’s latest activities, such as banking, Aadhaar services, online toll payments (ETC), school content, play schools, AISECT Learn, online free courses (MOOCs), insurance, online services, the Rojgar Mantra portal, NAPS, and more.

This journey will cover 300 districts across 22 states, where students will be informed about courses offered in partnership with AISECT-NSDC, as well as those provided by AISECT University Group. Additionally, various government schemes related to skill development, such as NULM, NSQF, Microsoft Rise, UNICEF courses, and others, will be introduced to the youth. Special vehicles have been prepared by AISECT for this yatra, which are branded with information about different skill development schemes and will distribute promotional materials to students during the journey.
