CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: On the occasion of Teacher’s Day, several programs were organized at Makhanlal Chaturvedi National University of Journalism and Communication. On this auspicious occasion, the building of Radio Karmaveer, situated between Takshashila and Vikramshila buildings, was inaugurated and named “Sharda Peeth” by Vice-Chancellor K.G. Suresh.

He mentioned that after naming the buildings in the new Makhanpuram campus as Nalanda, Takshashila, Vikramshila, and Sandipani, on the sacred occasion of Teacher’s Day, another building of the university has been named after Sharda Peeth, located in Pakistan-occupied Kashmir. This is a meaningful step towards reminding students of their glorious educational traditions and history.

Additionally, as part of promoting a green campus, an e-rickshaw was inaugurated by Vice-Chancellor Suresh in front of Chanakya Bhavan in the Makhanpuram campus. This service, started in collaboration with Canara Bank’s Neelbad branch, saw the special presence of the bank’s Deputy General Manager R.K. Meena.

On Teacher’s Day, a Teacher Felicitation Ceremony was held at the Dronacharya Auditorium, where Vice-Chancellor Suresh honored all the teachers. In his address, he highlighted the importance of teachers and encouraged them to engage in research work. Various other programs were also organized by different departments on this occasion.
