CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: Rabindranath Tagore University is hosting the inauguration of the Annual Fest Ridam 2024. Its commencement began with the sports event ‘Velocity.’ The Annual Fest Ridam 2024 is scheduled to take place until April 6th this year. This event is being organized by the University’s Student Activity Council (SAC).
This year, various competitions and activities will be held including a street play ‘Tamasha’ by the Drama and Theater Club ‘Dastaan’, a mono-act ‘Ehsaas’, mime, poster making, body/face painting, clay modeling, rangoli, mehendi, best out of waste, gate set go by the Rainbow Club, fearless cooking, reels, cultural club ‘Jazba’ presenting solo singing, instrumental (solo/group) performances, a passion (solo dance), group dance, rap, beat boxing, literary activities by the Literary Club ‘Dhumaketu’ including elocution, story writing, debate, and technical competitions by the Technical Club ‘Phoenix’ such as BGM Squad, BGM Solo, AutoCAD modeling, and Find Error in C++.
Moreover, in the sports event Velocity, competitions like cricket, volleyball, basketball, chess, tug of war, 100-meter race will be organized for the male category, and for the female category, kho-kho, volleyball, basketball, tug of war, and 100-meter race will be held. Additionally, sports events will also be organized for the university staff.
On April 4th, the famous comedian Amit Tandon will be performing. During this time, there will also be an alumni meet. On April 5th, in the cultural event of the Annual Fest, students will showcase their fashion on the mythology theme. The Annual Fest will conclude with a Celebrity Night on April 6th. The SAC team is organizing this event under the coordination of Dr. Ankit Pandit, Dean Student Welfare of the university.
