CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: In order to acquaint the newly enrolled students with the university’s operational system, the Bhoj Open University, Madhya Pradesh, organized an inauguration program. In this program, 11 regional centers of Madhya Pradesh and nearly 600 study centers were involved. While delivering the welcome speech at the inauguration program, the university’s Registrar, Dr. Sushil Mandariya, mentioned that our university operates 11 regional centers and approximately 612 study centers. These centers provide higher education to students across the state through distance and open education. Our university has received an “A” grade from NAAC, and the programs offered by our university are recognized by UGC, AICTE, NCTE, RCI, and the Skill Council of India. He expressed hope that the newly enrolled students would benefit from these programs and it would also assist in their future endeavors.

Chairing the program, Prof. Sanjay Tiwari, the Chancellor of Madhya Pradesh Bhoj Open University, stated that our university not only imparts knowledge to students but also provides education on values and spirituality. He briefed the students about the special features of the National Education Policy 2020. He said that whatever programs students undertake through distance and open education at Madhya Pradesh Bhoj Open University, it is equivalent to regular university programs. He emphasized that our university is for all those who, for some reason, cannot complete their education or are engaged in some employment/job or business. Those who want to enhance their skills can enroll in the university’s programs. He also mentioned that students can enroll in two programs simultaneously, and there is no legal constraint in this regard. The university’s self-learning material is available in electronic format. The syllabi are uploaded in the digital locker, and audio and video resources are made available to students through YouTube. He mentioned the establishment of an incubation center in the university to promote entrepreneurship among students. Tiwari also highlighted the university’s progress in research. Addressing the inauguration program, Sushil Kumar Dubey, Director of the IT Department, provided detailed information to the students about the examination process and the National Education Policy. He explained the process of subject selection, credit distribution system, and assessment methods for theoretical and practical subjects. He also emphasized the importance of filling out examination forms, creating an ABC ID, and creating a digital locker ID.
