CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: The ten-day orientation program for newly admitted first-year engineering students at UIT RGPV began in the auditorium of Rajiv Gandhi Technological University, Bhopal campus, under the guidance of the university’s Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Roopam Gupta, and Director of UIT, Prof. Sudhir Singh Bhadoria. On this occasion, program coordinator Prof. Nitin Srivastava, along with heads of various departments, professors of UIT RGPV, and the newly admitted first-year undergraduate students, were present.
Addressing the inauguration session of the orientation program, which aims to familiarize the new students with the institution, its academic and extracurricular activities, and introduce them to various departments and professors, Vice-Chancellor Prof. Roopam Gupta stated that higher education is a significant milestone in every student’s life. The quality time spent on campus remains in the memories of all students. Apart from academic learning, participation in co-curricular activities contributes to the holistic development of students’ personalities. She encouraged students to recognize their potential and move forward in life based on their values.
Addressing the gathering, UIT Director Prof. Sudhir Singh Bhadoria said that there is no shortcut to success; strong willpower, dedication, and hard work propel a person forward. Focus and discipline lead us in the right direction, and therefore, students, as aspiring engineers, should grow under the guidance of their mentors and pledge to use their knowledge for the betterment of society and the country.
During the orientation program, which will run until September 25, new students will be provided with essential information on topics such as the National Education Policy, training and placement programs at UIT, NPTEL and MOOC courses, academic observations, scholarships, hostels, cultural and sports activities, NCC and NSS, the examination system, the library, and other important aspects. Additionally, students will also be taken on an academic tour.
