The keynote speaker was Rakesh Pandey, Coordinator of the Science and Technology Cell at Makhanlal Chaturvedi National University of Journalism and Communication, Madhya Pradesh. He shared his thoughts on the positive role of youth in science and journalism, encouraging young people to build their careers in this field and make a positive impact on society.
The keynote speaker stated that young people can make significant contributions to educating society, combating misinformation, and bringing about positive social change. If we want to establish ourselves and our institutions, public participation is essential. For this, a positive mindset is necessary. He emphasized that the curiosity, passion, and social engagement of young people make science and journalism impactful. Young journalists will play a major role in building a new India. Using the example of Chandrayaan-3, he noted that today, media reaches every field through some medium.
Young people are introducing new perspectives and techniques in journalism. Some individuals attempt to defame the media by spreading negativity. Social media is a good medium for obtaining information, but there is a need to analyze misinformation. The guest was honored with a memento by department heads Santosh Kumar Gautam and Manisha Upadhyay. On this occasion, Yogesh Kaushik, Veer Pratap Singh, Mayank Jain, and students Deepak Chaudhary, Satakshi Mishra, Deepak Singh, Shaileshti Pandit, among others, were present.”
