CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: Professor K. G. Suresh, Vice-Chancellor of Makhanlal Chaturvedi National University of Journalism and Communication, announced that a new building for Karmaveer Vidyapeeth at the Khandwa campus would be constructed soon. Following a telephonic discussion with Khandwa MLA Kanchan Taniwe, Mayor Amrita Yadav, and Collector Anoop Kumar Singh, he revealed that the land allocation process for the university’s Karmaveer Vidyapeeth campus in Khandwa, the workplace of Padma Bhushan Pandit Makhanlal Chaturvedi, is in its final stages. Once the land is transferred, a new building for student studies will be constructed for Khandwa and the surrounding areas.
The Vice-Chancellor assured that the future of the students currently studying at the university is completely secure, mentioning that any recent communication issues with the UGC regarding the appointment of an ombudsman have been resolved. Prof. Suresh, along with MLA Kanchan Taniwe and Mayor Amrita Yadav, distributed awards to the winning students at the Karmaveer campus’s Pratibha Samman Ceremony. Registrar Avinash Vajpayee, Mentor Dr. Manikantan Nair, Assistant Registrar Rajesh Sharma, and Devendra Sharma also attended the event. Suresh reviewed the administrative and academic arrangements at Karmaveer Vidyapeeth and gave necessary instructions.
The program began with Saraswati Puja and Vandana. Campus in-charge Manoj Nivaria, in his welcome address, mentioned that under the guidance of the honorable Vice-Chancellor, the university has succeeded in securing a place among the top 10 media institutes in the country according to India Today and The Week rankings.
During the award distribution ceremony for the talent competition held at all the campuses of Makhanlal Chaturvedi National University of Journalism and Communication last year, Dr. Suresh mentioned that based on the quality of education, the university has secured a place among the top 10 universities in the country. Around two lakh students are studying in affiliated institutions across the country, including the university’s campuses in Bhopal, Khandwa, Rewa, and Datia. The university is also progressing towards obtaining UGC NAAC grading. Prof. Suresh stated that after the construction of grand campuses in Bhopal and Rewa, a new building for Karmaveer Vidyapeeth will now be constructed in Khandwa as well.
