CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: The orientation ceremony for newly admitted international students at Rabindranath Tagore University was successfully concluded this year. The event was graced by the presence of Life Coach Rajeev Agarwal as the chief guest, and Prof. Chancellor Aditi Chaturvedi Vats, Registrar Vijay Singh, Vice-Chancellor Sangeeta Johri, Dean of Academics Sanjeev Gupta, and Dean of the International Cell Ritu Kumaran as special guests.
This year, students from various countries such as Zimbabwe, Nigeria, Ghana, Gambia, Sudan, Liberia, Uganda, Togo, Korea, and Cameroon have enrolled at the university for their studies. On this occasion, Rajeev Agarwal addressed the students, saying that student life is like a pencil, which requires sharpening multiple times to write a good story. Similarly, college life shapes your future through daily challenges. He emphasized that if you choose the path of hard work and honesty, your future will surely be bright. He encouraged students to continue working hard in their lives.
Aditi Chaturvedi informed the students about the various activities conducted by the university and introduced the parent organization AISECT. She shared insights on the startups initiated by the university’s Atal Incubation Centre. Dr. Vijay Singh, while addressing the students, emphasized the importance of learning values alongside education.
In the second session, Dean of Academics Sanjeev Gupta introduced the academic calendar to the students. Deputy Registrar Academics Pooja Chaturvedi provided information on the New Education Policy 2020, SWAYAM, NPTEL, and AISECT Learn. Exam Controller Anil Tiwari familiarized students with the university website and the examination process. Library Head Rakesh Khare provided details about the facilities available in the university library.
In the first session of the event, university students Pauline (from Zimbabwe) and Walid (from Nigeria) welcomed the new students. At the end of the event, Cultural Club Convenor Ira Saxena gave an overview of the Student Activity Council and the activities conducted by the clubs. Program Head Anurag Jha of the university’s podcast “Yuvaz” shared detailed information about the podcast’s activities. Ms. Kriti from the Atal Incubation Center shared insights on the E-cell and IIC cell.
The event was hosted by students Mustafa and Pragati. Dean of Student Welfare Ankit Pandit, Head of the Department of Electrical Engineering Prateek Nigam, and Cultural Coordinator Jitendra Ahir were also present at the event.
