On this occasion, the Executive Director of AIIMS Bhopal, Professor (Dr.) Ajay Singh, stated, “Our team always strives to make these children feel at home, especially during such difficult times. Diwali is a festival of hope and light, and today we have tried to bring a little brightness into these children’s lives. Their courage and happiness inspire us. I wish all these children and their families a healthy and happy future.”
For the children who have been in the hospital for a long time, this event brought a special experience filled with the joys of the festival. During the celebration, the young patients sang songs and recited poems with the nursing staff and doctors, creating an atmosphere of joy and excitement. Delicious cakes were arranged for the children, and they received gifts from the organization ‘CanKids – KidsCan.’ The ward was decorated with rangoli and lamps, with significant contributions from the children’s parents and staff.
The head of the pediatrics department, Professor (Dr.) Shikha Malik, extended heartfelt Diwali wishes to all the children and their families. She appreciated the efforts of the pediatric oncology staff – Ms. Kanchana Bharambe, Ms. Bharti, Ms. Priya, Mr. Prashant, and Ms. Savita, who contributed to making this event a success.
