CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: The National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT), Bhopal, organized a Hindi workshop on the topic of “Encouragement Policy for Official Language” for all officers and employees of the institution from January to March 2024, through the Rajbhasha Section of the institution. For this workshop, Mr. Mukesh Bansode, Manager Official Language and Marketing, New India Assurance Company Limited, Bhopal, was invited as the guest speaker.

During the workshop, the guest speaker discussed various aspects of the official language, enabling the adherence to the policy of the official language department, Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India, and how awards can be obtained through various official language promotion schemes implemented by the department, such as awards for using Hindi in primary activities during a financial year, as well as for students passing Hindi training (awareness, adept, skilled, advanced curriculum).

The speaker also discussed the importance of the official language, the global nature of the official language, the ease of adherence to the official language policy rules by using common Hindi in everyday conversation, and discussed various official language promotion schemes of the official language department, Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India. This included making officers and employees aware of awards such as cash incentives for using Hindi in primary activities, as well as for students who pass Hindi training.

The speaker suggested increasing the use of Hindi as the official language in office work, stating that if each officer/employee starts doing 20% of their office work in Hindi, achieving the annual targets of the official language through continuous efforts will not be difficult.
