CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: A theatrical symposium was organized at the Sanskar Bharati office in Bhopal on the theme of “The Role of Lokmata Devi Ahilyabai Holkar in India.” The event was coordinated by CYGB (Creative Yuva Glorious Bharat) of Sanskar Bharati, Bhopal Madhya Bharat Prant. The coordinators of the event were Himmat Goswami and Nikhil Khatri.
The chief guest of the event was the renowned novelist, playwright, and writer Ranjana Chitale, and the program was presided over by veteran theater artist Shri Sanjay Mehta. The event began with the lighting of the lamp, followed by the welcome and honor of the guests with shawls and coconuts. After that, Ranjana Chitale gave a speech on her research on Lokmata Ahilyabai Holkar, and Sanjay Mehta also shared his insights on the topic.
Nikhil Khatri, CYGB Madhya Bharat’s coordinator, created a live portrait of Devi Ahilyabai Holkar during the event. The guests were welcomed by Sanskar Bharati’s Chairperson Aruna Sharma and Executive President Prakash Galgale. The program was hosted by Deepika Purohit. Veteran theater artist Sanjay Mehta shed light on Ahilyabai Holkar’s perspective towards society and her role in folklore.
The event was graced by the presence of Niranjan Panda, All India Pracharak of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh, Shekhar Karadkar, Co-General Secretary of Sanskar Bharati, who presented the Sanskar Bharati anthem. Other prominent figures such as Lok Kala Vidha head Mahima Pandey, Prem Ashtana, Shiv Kataria, and Ramchandra Singh, along with the audience, were also present.
