CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: The inauguration of the annual festival “Skills Fusion Fest – 2024” of Scope Global Skills University (SGSU) took place at the Mysore-based Scope campus. The session by celebrity author and motivational speaker Chetan Bhagat was the main attraction. During his conversation with the youth, he mentioned 11 rules, adherence to which could lead to both success and happiness in life. Alongside him, Chancellor Siddharth Chaturvedi, Vice-Chancellor Ajay Bhushan, Registrar Sateesh Kumar Sinha, and Pro-Chancellor Aditi Chaturvedi Vats of Rabindranath Tagore University were present at the event.

During the program, in his interaction with the youth, Chetan Bhagat stated, “People think that once money comes in, life will be good or everything will be fine once money comes. But that’s not the case. Managing money becomes a challenge in itself, and as one tries to manage money and balance it, problems arise. There are some mistakes that I corrected in time. If you also pay attention to them, you will achieve success and your life will become magnificent.” While discussing these 11 rules, he emphasized, “Rule 1: Focus on your fitness because if you stay fit, you can excel in every task. Additionally, fitness significantly reduces the risk of illness. Rule 2: Control your emotions because many wrong decisions are made solely based on emotions. Sometimes, emotions lead to conflicts, and sometimes they lead to actions that one regrets for a lifetime. Rule 3: Prioritize yourself. Often, we ignore our priorities and engage in activities that waste our time. Therefore, focus on what is most important in your life. Rule 4: Learn basic English. Today, English is not just a language but also a skill. Understanding it opens up many opportunities for you. Rule 5: Don’t indulge in cheap dopamine, meaning, don’t indulge in things that tempt you for a short while. Instead, engage in activities where you experience pride and joy by accomplishing tasks.”

Speaking about the Fusion Fest, Chancellor Siddharth Chaturvedi motivated all students and encouraged them to participate in large numbers. Vice-Chancellor Ajay Bhushan mentioned that they have integrated skills into competitions, making them more interesting and assisting in enhancing student participation.

Registrar Sateesh Kumar Sinha stated that the Skill Fusion Fest has initiated a unique festival based on skills that are not only entertaining but also creative and knowledge-enhancing.\
