CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: The Bhopal Division of the Railways is committed to passenger safety. The Railway Protection Force (RPF) is running various campaigns to focus on passenger security. In this regard, the RPF of the Bhopal Division has demonstrated remarkable duty and dedication, ensuring the safety of passengers and the general public. The commendable efforts of RPF personnel include the following campaigns:
Prevention of Theft and Crime:
Failed Attempt at Mobile and Cash Theft: During Train No. 12345 at Platform No. 1 of Rani Kamalapati Station, an individual attempting to steal a passenger’s mobile and cash was caught by the RPF. An FIR was registered under Sections 147 and 145 of the Railway Act, and action was taken under Sections 379 and 511 of the IPC by the police.
Arrest of Suspicious Person: A suspicious individual was apprehended by the RPF during Train No. 18238 at Platform No. 1 of Rani Kamalapati Station. A stolen mobile phone was recovered from him, and action was taken under Sections 151, 116, and 107 of the CRPC.
Recovery and Return of Lost Items:
Recovery of Lost Watch: A silver Casio watch was found in Coach B7 of Train No. 12853 at Bhopal Station and deposited at the Bhopal Post. The watch, valued at approximately ₹10,000, was returned to the complainant in the presence of witnesses.
Return of Lost Bag: A bag left in Coach B1 of Train No. 12627 at Rani Kamalapati Station was returned to its owner.
Passenger Safety and Assistance:
Assistance to Mentally Ill Woman: A mentally ill woman on Train No. 01046 at Rani Kamalapati Station was admitted to a government hospital by the RPF, and her husband was informed and reunited with her respectfully.
Help for Lost Elderly Woman: An elderly woman who could not board her seat after deboarding Train No. 12433 at Bhopal Station was brought to the RPF post, contacted her son, and handed over to him.
Return of Missing Children: Three missing children from Train No. 11077 at Bhopal Station were found on the platform, and their relatives were contacted and reunited with them.
Return of Missing Minor Boy: A missing minor boy at Rani Kamalapati Station was safely kept at the post and handed over to his sister.
Safety of Missing Minor Girl: A missing minor girl found in Coach B10 of Train No. 22691 at Rani Kamalapati Station was safely kept at the post and handed over to her parents.
Assistance to Injured Passenger: An injured passenger who fell from Train No. 19046 near Khandwa Station was rescued and admitted to the Tajwada Primary Health Center.
The West Central Railway is dedicated to passenger safety. The RPF’s continuous service and security campaigns for passengers will continue in the future as well.
