CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: Madhya Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister and Minister of Public Health, Family Welfare, and Medical Education, Mr. Rajendra Shukla, visited Bhopal Memorial Hospital and Research Centre (BMHRC). He paid homage at the memorial built in memory of the victims of the Bhopal gas tragedy, planted saplings, inaugurated new laundry equipment, and unveiled a state-of-the-art phaco machine for cataract surgery.
On the occasion of International Women’s Day at BMHRC, a program titled “Women’s Health – A Holistic Perspective” was inaugurated. The institution honored three voluntary blood donor women employees for their leading role in blood donation. Mr. Shukla praised the management of BMHRC, expressing that the institution is an asset for Bhopal. He pledged government support to develop BMHRC as a medical college. BMHRC’s facilities and cleanliness impressed Mr. Shukla, and he acknowledged the institution’s significant impact on Bhopal over the past 23 years. He assured that the government is working to establish a medical college in every Lok Sabha constituency, and he is pleased that BMHRC is striving to convert the hospital into a medical college for Bhopal. Dr. Manisha Shrivastav, the In-charge Director of BMHRC, expressed gratitude to Mr. Rajendra Shukla for his visit and participation in various programs. She briefed him about the hospital’s facilities, and Mr. Shukla congratulated her for organizing a symposium on women’s health and holistic perspectives. Mr. Shukla emphasized the importance of women’s empowerment, education, and health for the well-being of the entire family and society. He highlighted that a woman’s education leads to an educated family and a healthy society, expressing happiness about the presence of women in significant positions at BMHRC. He congratulated Dr. Manisha Shrivastav for organizing a symposium on women’s health and holistic perspectives. Mr. Shukla stated that empowering and educating women and ensuring their good health are essential for the well-being of the entire family and society. He concluded that a woman’s good health contributes to the overall health of the family.
