CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: The three-day “Diksharambh” ceremony held at Gyan Vigyan Bhavan of Barkatullah University concluded. The event was coordinated by Prof. Ruchi Ghosh, Head of the Sociology Department, and Dr. Anita Tilwari, Head of the Microbiology Department. This ceremony had been ongoing on the university campus for the past three days. On this occasion, a medical camp was organized for newly admitted students by the Red Cross Hospital, where students underwent health check-ups and received necessary medical advice.

In the next phase of the session, Dr. Jaya Phukan from the Women’s Studies Department discussed the importance and effective implementation of the Sexual Harassment of Women at Workplace (Prevention, Prohibition, and Redressal) Act, 2013. Dr. Nitish Daniel, Assistant Professor from the Law Department, highlighted the significant role of the Right to Information Act, 2005, and also emphasized the importance of cybersecurity and Intellectual Property Rights (IPR).

Prof. Bhupender Singh Acharya from the Psychology Department and Dr. Rachna Dave from Barkatullah University, Bhopal, emphasized the importance of mental health and its effective management, which helps in raising awareness and seeking assistance in society.

A.K. Saxena and Dr. Rahul Singh Parihar provided information about the National Service Scheme (NSS). They appreciated the social service work done by students through various NSS campaigns and activities.

Dr. Abhilasha Bhavasar, Head of the Environmental Science Department, introduced the student clubs. Dr. Garg discussed the importance of the Innovation Club, explaining that this club inspires students to actively participate in innovation and research. Dr. Alok Mishra, Director of Major Dhyan Chand Sports Complex, Barkatullah University, Bhopal, provided information about the activities conducted in the Sports Club.

In the final phase of the program, Prof. Anshuja Tiwari provided details about the Talent Hunt/Showcase, cultural festivals, and performances. During the closing ceremony, students showcased their diverse talents, including speeches, singing, and dancing. Prof. Tiwari mentioned that this ceremony not only highlighted the artistic and cultural abilities of the students but also ensured the success of the event. The program was hosted by Dr. Sunil Kumar Snehi, Assistant Professor in the Microbiology Department.
