CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: The 13th edition of the grand annual Hindi festival “Turyanaad’24,” held at Maulana Azad National Institute of Technology (MANIT), Bhopal, commenced on Friday evening. From its very beginning, the festival showcased a confluence of language, culture, and tradition. The event began with the national anthem, graced by the presence of the Honorable Governor, Mangubhai Patel. This was followed by the lighting of the lamp and Saraswati Vandana. In his address, the Governor advised the students to become ideal citizens, saying, “Along with technical education, always remember the importance of your motherland and your parents.”
A grand cultural start Renowned conch blower Ramjanam Yogi from Varanasi enthralled the audience by continuously blowing the conch for over five minutes, embodying the essence of the word ‘Turyanaad,’ and exciting all the dignitaries and attendees present. At 63, Ramjanam Yogi, known for his performances at Varanasi’s Dashashwamedh Ghat, has also been admired by Prime Minister Modi.
Turyanaad: The largest Hindi festival organized by a technical institute Savita Dixit, the convener of the Turyanaad committee, highlighted the festival’s commitment to the promotion of Hindi and encouraged the youth to draw inspiration from the event and uncover their latent talents. MANIT Director Karunesh Kumar Shukla emphasized the importance of the Hindi language and urged students to uphold and advance Indian traditions and values. In his address, he referred to Turyanaad as the largest Hindi festival organized by a technical institute. The Governor, in his speech, shed light on India’s rich spiritual and cultural heritage, appreciating the work done by Turyanaad and commending the committee.
Parag Agrawal, an alumnus of MANIT and the founder of Palan Seva Foundation, also attended the event. He is actively working for education, healthcare, and women’s self-reliance in rural areas.
SadhO the Band’s mesmerizing performance SadhO the Band won the hearts of the audience with their energetic and soulful performance on the cultural stage of Turyanaad’24. As soon as they took the stage, the band filled the atmosphere with music through songs like “Piya Ghar Ayenge,” “Ram Ayenge,” and “Teri Deewani.” Their captivating tunes echoed through the entire LRC building, leaving the audience in awe.
Exciting competitions on the second day The second day of Turyanaad promises even more excitement and grandeur. The day began with a writing competition, where students from various schools showcased their writing skills. This was followed by events like the Student Parliament, the first round of the Khichdi Competition, Pradhanik (Fashion Show), and Abhivyakti (Dance, Singing, and Stage Performance competitions). In the Student Parliament competition, participants debated and discussed a bill within a parliamentary framework. The fashion show was held at the LRC building, and Abhivyakti promises to be filled with enthusiasm and joy, featuring dance and singing performances.
