CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: Two-Day Guru Purnima Festival at I.E.H.E. Concludes” The two-day Guru Purnima festival organized by the ‘Indian Knowledge Tradition Department’ at the Institute of Excellence in Higher Education (I.E.H.E.), Bhopal, concluded with captivating cultural performances by students.

 

On the second and final day, distinguished guests including renowned thinker and scholar Chetas Sukhadia, Vasudev Dangi, and senior professor S. S. Vijayvargiya were present. In his welcome address, the Institute’s Director, Pragyesh Kumar Agarwal, highlighted the achievements of the institution and its commitment to holistic student development through various flagship programs. He also informed attendees about the selection of 10 students from the institute in the M.P.P.S.C. exams and their top positions in the merit list.

Agarwal emphasized the importance of not only knowledge acquisition but also character development as an essential aspect of student life. Following this, the chief guest and eloquent speaker, Mr. Chetas Sukhadia, expounded on the significance of the ‘educational campus.’ He described the campus as a center for nation-building and stressed the need to make education engaging, enjoyable, and meaningful. He noted the challenge of attracting students to educational campuses and suggested that addressing the underlying issues could overcome this challenge. Sukhadia provided insightful guidance on achieving success and meaningfulness in life, elaborating on the ancient Gurukul tradition and its relevance in contemporary times.

Dr. Vasudev Dangi expressed the glory and life stories of Gurus through classical music singing, explaining the importance of Gurus in various fields.

Akshay Rajoria, a student from the Hindi Department, presented the significance of Gurus as depicted in the Ramcharitmanas. The festival featured cultural programs presented by students, including a play based on Rishi Sandipani, Guru Vandana in dance form, and poetic presentations, which left a significant impact on the audience. The importance of yoga, meditation, and physical health was also discussed during the event.

Dr. Ram Krishna Srivastava from the Indian Knowledge Tradition Department expressed gratitude to the attending guests. The program was conducted by Sandhya Trivedi and Anshul from the Chemistry Department. The festival saw enthusiastic participation from both students and faculty members of the institution. The active contributions of the department and committee members were crucial to the dignified and successful execution of the Guru Purnima festival. At the end of the program, a tree was planted in the name of the Guru.
