CNN Central News & Network-ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: Thirteen athletes from the Sports Authority of India (SAI) Central Regional Centre (CRC), Bhopal, are representing India at the 20th Asian Games Aichi-Nagoya 2026 being held in Japan.
The athletes from SAI Regional Centre Bhopal, drawn from four sporting disciplines – athletics, judo, kayaking and canoeing, and hockey – are representing India at the Asian Games event. Their selection reflects the centre’s continuing commitment to developing and refining sporting talent. The achievement also underlines the contribution of SAI CRC Bhopal in preparing high-performance athletes for national and international competitions.
The athletes representing India are:
Athletics: Pooja Ola – middle-distance runner, women’s 800 metres and 1500 metres; Manju Rani – marathon race walk; Seema – 5000 metres and 10,000 metres; Ankita – 3000 metres steeplechase.
Judo: Asmita Dey – women’s -48 kg category; T. Inungambi – -70 kg category.
Kayaking and Canoeing: Harshvardhan Singh Shaktawat, Neha Devi, Sonia Devi and Sunil Singh.
Hockey: Mohit H.S. – goalkeeper, Sushila Chanu and Nikki Pradhan.
On the occasion, SAI CRC Bhopal Regional Director Abhishek Singh Chauhan extended his best wishes to all the athletes representing India.
