CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: Barkatullah University’s Department of Physical Education and the Adventure Activity Cell are organizing a three-day adventure training camp to instill a spirit of courage among students. The camp is being conducted at the Climbing Wall Arena located within the university’s Sports Complex and will continue until April 25. Approximately 120 participants are taking part in the training program.
The three-day adventure training program includes a variety of activities such as climbing, rappelling, ziplining, river crossing, rope balancing, leadership and personality development, environmental conservation, team bonding activities, urban survival and CPR training under disaster management, and bird watching. These sessions are being led by field experts.
Vice-Chancellor Prof. Suresh Kumar Jain highlighted that adventure activities not only foster courage and patriotism among youth but also contribute significantly to their mental and physical development.
The inauguration ceremony was graced by former NCC Group Commander Brigadier Sanjoy Ghosh, Director of Physical Education Dr. Alok Mishra, Director Shashank Shekhar, and BU Adventure Cell In-Charge Mukesh Sharma. Also present were teaching faculty members Deepak Kushwaha, Sarita Kushwaha, Sumit Patel, Akshay Lodhi, Dr. Poonam Singh, and Director Chandrakant Uike.
In the coming days, bird watching activities will also be organized within the university campus as part of the adventure program.
