CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal / Ujjain : Under the chairmanship of Vice-Chancellor Arpan Bhardwaj, a key meeting was held in the Executive Council Room of Vikram University, Ujjain, to discuss arrangements for Independence Day celebrations. All department heads attended the meeting, and detailed discussions were held regarding the three-day programs scheduled until August 16.

The meeting began with an address by Head of Commerce Department S.K. Mishra. As per the planned program, a flag hoisting ceremony will be held in the university campus. This will be followed by a Tiranga Yatra (tricolor march) starting from Tower Chowk, in which students of NCC, NSS, and CC will actively participate. Special emphasis will be given to the Tiranga Yatra, cleanliness campaign, and Har Ghar Tiranga campaign. Each department and hostel is instructed to display at least two tricolors and strictly follow the flag code.

During the program, students will participate in events such as Best Selfie with the Tricolor competition, painting and rangoli contests, patriotic plays, and role plays based on stories of national heroes. The Vice-Chancellor urged everyone to ensure 100% attendance, prioritize cleanliness, and uphold the spirit of patriotism.

On August 15, there will be the flag hoisting ceremony and cultural programs, while on August 16, the university will collectively watch the live broadcast of programs organized by the Central and State governments. It was also decided that the university would invite a martyr’s family and honor them during the celebrations.

The meeting concluded with the Vice-Chancellor’s message that small efforts combined can bring significant change.

Guidelines and Key Instructions:

Emphasis on Cleanliness: Keep the university campus, all departments, and hostels completely clean.

Har Ghar Tiranga Campaign: Each department and hostel should display at least two tricolors, including one main flag.

Flag Code Compliance: Ensure flags are hoisted before sunrise and lowered before sunset.

Participation in Tiranga Yatra: NCC, NSS, and all students must actively participate.

Patriotic Competitions: Present stories of the freedom struggle and heroes through rangoli, painting, drama, and role plays.

Selfie with the Tricolor Campaign: Award the best tricolor selfies from students.

Honoring Martyr Families: Invite and honor a martyr’s family during Independence Day events.

Cultural Programs: Encourage patriotic-themed cultural performances.

Participation in Live Broadcasts: Ensure collective viewing of government programs on August 16.

Spirit of Patriotism and Sacrifice: Celebrate the festival wholeheartedly and contribute to eradicating societal evils.
