CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: The School of Modern Science at Scope Global Skills University organized a three-day series of programs on the occasion of National Science Day. The objective of the event was to encourage scientific thinking, innovation, and creativity among students. The program was conducted with sponsorship from Madhya Pradesh Council of Science and Technology (MPCST).
On the first day, a Science Quiz Competition was organized and conducted by Mr. Sandeep Poddar. Students participated enthusiastically, showcasing their scientific knowledge in an engaging and competitive environment.
On the second day, an essay writing competition was held on the topic “Contribution of Indian Women Scientists in Scientific Innovation,” where students expressed their views on the role of women in the field of science. A poetry competition based on science themes was also organized, in which students creatively presented scientific concepts.
Additionally, a guest lecture on “E-Waste Management” was delivered by Suyash Kulshreshtha, a practicing town planner and structural engineer from Bhopal. The lecture provided detailed insights into proper electronic waste management and the importance of environmental conservation.
On the third day, students were taken on an educational visit to Ravindra Bhavan, where they gained practical exposure related to science and technology.
The program strengthened scientific outlook and innovative thinking among students. It was conducted under the guidance and inspiration of Chancellor Siddharth Chaturvedi, Vice-Chancellor Vijay Singh, Registrar Sitesh Kumar Sinha, Dean Academic V. K. Gupta, DSW Vinod Kumar Sharma, and Professor Jyotsna Mishra.
On this occasion, Chancellor Siddharth Chaturvedi stated that events like National Science Day empower students with scientific thinking, logical planning, and innovative spirit. In today’s era, science is not merely a subject but the foundation of development and self-reliance. The university will continue to inspire youth toward research, technology, and creative solutions through such programs.
Vice-Chancellor Vijay Singh and Registrar Sitesh Kumar Sinha also remarked that such science-based events promote curiosity and research aptitude among students. Their goal is to encourage students to play an active role in societal and national development through innovation.
