CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: Three-Day Training Successfully Concluded at AIIMS A three-day training program for doctors and nursing officials at AIIMS has concluded. The training was conducted to manage cases of common emergencies, burns, and trauma at the primary level. Executive Professor Ajay Singh of AIIMS emphasized that time is crucial in trauma and emergency situations, particularly the first hour, known as the “golden hour.” He noted that while it is not necessary to know and do everything, it is essential to improve the patient’s condition with whatever actions are taken and ensure better treatment in the next department they are referred to. Timely intervention can potentially save a patient’s life, and any doubts should definitely be resolved.

The training program was organized by the Trauma and Emergency Medicine Department of AIIMS Bhopal in collaboration with the National Health Mission (NHM) of Madhya Pradesh. Priyanka Das, Mission Director of NHM Bhopal, stated that improving emergency services at the primary level is crucial for enhancing patient outcomes and saving lives. This training program for doctors and nursing staff is a significant step toward achieving this goal. By equipping our health workers with advanced skills and knowledge, we can strengthen emergency response capabilities at primary health centers across the region.

More than 150 doctors and nursing officials from primary health centers in various districts of Madhya Pradesh participated in the three-day program, receiving primary-level training from experts in various departments. Approximately 500 doctors and nursing officials will be trained through this program. A total of 17 such training programs will be conducted, running until January 2025.

Dr. Mohammad Yunus, Head of the Trauma and Emergency Medicine Department at AIIMS, highlighted the importance of these training programs, stating that the trained doctors and nursing officials will be able to better manage emergency cases at various health centers in Madhya Pradesh. This will lead to quicker recovery and potentially save lives. Post-training, these doctors and nursing officials will also train others at their respective health centers, enhancing the management of common emergencies, burns, and trauma cases at the primary level on a larger scale.
