CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: In coordination with the Commercial Department and RPF, West Central Railway has been conducting ticket-checking campaigns to ensure safe travel for passengers. Under the guidance of General Manager Shobhana Bandyopadhyay and the direction of the Principal Chief Commercial Manager, these campaigns have been carried out periodically in passenger trains and at stations across all three divisions. From April to August 2024, a total of 857,000 cases were caught, and the railway earned a revenue of ₹561.7 million through additional fares and fines.

The performance over the past five months at the headquarters and division levels is as follows:

The CCM Squad at the headquarters conducted ticket-checking campaigns, where ticket inspectors penalized 17,000 cases of passengers traveling without tickets, with unbooked luggage, or irregular tickets, collecting fines exceeding ₹10 million.

In the Jabalpur division, ticket inspectors fined 356,000 cases and collected ₹254.9 million in penalties from passengers traveling without tickets, with unbooked luggage, or irregular tickets.

The Bhopal division penalized 308,000 cases and collected ₹187 million in fines from passengers traveling without tickets, with unbooked luggage, or irregular tickets.

In the Kota division, ticket inspectors penalized 176,000 cases and collected ₹108.9 million in fines for similar offenses.
