CNN Central News & Network-ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: Mumbai: A Mumbai court has extended the police custody of four accused in the firing case involving Bollywood actor Tiger Shroff until October 28, 2026. The Mumbai Crime Branch is investigating the alleged conspiracy, financial transactions and communications linked to the shooting incident outside a football club in Juhu.

The four accused were produced before the court after their earlier custody period ended. The prosecution sought an extension until October 31 to facilitate further interrogation, obtain voice samples and investigate the alleged movement of money connected with the case. However, the court granted custody only until October 28.

According to investigators, the accused allegedly communicated with their handlers through the encrypted messaging application Signal. Police are examining audio recordings and other digital evidence to establish the roles of the individuals involved and determine how the alleged conspiracy was organised. Investigators are also looking into the procurement and movement of weapons used in the attack.

The firing took place on October 18, when Tiger Shroff was returning after playing football in Mumbai’s Juhu area. According to police reports, gunmen fired several rounds at his car. The actor escaped without gunshot injuries, while his driver and another person were reported injured.

Investigators suspect that different groups may have been involved in conducting surveillance, arranging weapons and carrying out the shooting. Police are examining whether the attack was linked to individuals associated with the Lawrence Bishnoi gang, which has reportedly claimed responsibility for the incident.

The investigation has led to multiple arrests across different locations, and authorities are continuing to examine the alleged roles of the accused. The police are also investigating the financial trail and communications to determine whether additional individuals were involved.

The allegations against the accused remain subject to judicial proceedings. Further developments will depend on the evidence collected during interrogation and the findings of the ongoing investigation.
