CNN Central News & Network-ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: Bhopal: Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav has directed that a task force on the lines of “Tiger Strike” be formed. He reviewed the work and activities of the Forest Department at Samatva Bhavan in the Chief Minister’s residence.
He said Madhya Pradesh is identified by its natural heritage, biodiversity and rich forest areas, and effective as well as long-term initiatives must be ensured at all levels for their protection.
The Chief Minister said conservation of biological and botanical diversity is not only an environmental necessity, but also a responsibility and commitment towards future generations. He directed Forest Department officials to give priority to expansion of forest areas, plantation, conservation of natural resources, and participation of local communities in accordance with their customs and traditions.
