CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: To ensure impartiality and transparency in the conduct of the Bhopal Lok Sabha elections – 2024, as per the instructions of the Election Commission of India, web cameras were installed at 1572 polling centers, out of which 1260 were placed inside the polling booths and 312 were placed outside the polling centers.
As per the Election Commission’s instructions, GPS systems were installed in buses and vehicles of sector officers for the transportation and monitoring of polling teams. For continuous monitoring and control of the election process, a webcasting system and a GPS control room were set up in Smart City Bhopal, where approximately 200 employees ensured continuous monitoring and communication, enabling close scrutiny of all polling-related activities and ensuring that the elections were conducted peacefully.
The nodal officers for webcasting, GPS, and communication were Ankur Meshram, Additional Collector Rajesh Sorete, and Aditya Jain, respectively.
