CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: A delegation of the Maharana Pratap Nagar Traders’ Federation (Registered) met the Municipal Corporation Commissioner and submitted a memorandum seeking the development of Maharana Pratap Nagar on the lines of Delhi’s Connaught Place, along with solutions to the problem of chaotic parking in the area. The delegation stated that despite the availability of parking spaces in Zone Nos. 1 and 2, disorderly parking forces people to park vehicles on the roads, leading to traffic congestion and adversely affecting business.

The Federation suggested that free and designated parking for two-wheelers be ensured at parking facilities so that customers and employees do not resort to roadside parking. It also proposed marking yellow lines on both sides of the temple area and major wide roads to create an organized system—allocating one side for two-wheelers and the other for four-wheelers. The delegation further highlighted issues such as illegal encroachments around parking areas, stray animals, and the spread of garbage, demanding regular cleanliness drives and effective waste management.

In addition, discussions were held on installing CCTV cameras on major roads, putting up necessary signages and speed breakers, and increasing public awareness to ensure compliance with traffic rules. The Federation expressed hope that timely action by the Municipal Corporation would ease traffic movement in the area and accelerate its development as a smart market.ure.
