CNN Central News & Network – ITDC India E-Press / ITDC News, Bhopal: A successful traffic awareness program was organized at Scope Global Skills University, Bhopal under the joint aegis of the NSS Unit, Student Activity Council, and Red Ribbon Club. The chief guest of the event was Milan Jain, ACP Traffic, Bhopal, who briefed students on the latest traffic rules. She highlighted that individuals helping accident victims will not face legal trouble from the police but are instead eligible for a reward of ₹25,000.
Distinguished guests included Anant Saxena, Director and NSS Coordinator, Barkatullah University; Girish Saraswat, Head Constable, Traffic Police; and Rahul Singh Parihar, NSS Open Unit Program Officer, BU Bhopal.
Director Rahul Singh Parihar motivated NSS volunteers to form a unit for traffic rule awareness within the campus, emphasizing that NSS volunteers have a duty to act as agents of social change. Dr. Anant Saxena spoke about the dangers of drinking and driving, calling it not only a legal offense but a life-threatening act. He also raised awareness about the mandatory use of seat belts and helmets.
Girish Saraswat used real accident footage to stress the importance of obeying traffic laws and urged all vehicle users to comply with them fully.
The initiative was supported and appreciated by the university’s leadership—Chancellor Siddharth Chaturvedi, Vice Chancellor Vijay Singh, and Registrar Sitesh Kumar Sinha—who described it as a timely and critical step to educate more people about road safety.
The event concluded with a vote of thanks from Dr. Vinod Sharma (DSW) to all guests, deans, heads of departments, faculty, and students.
