CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: A Translation Skill Workshop was inaugurated at the Bhopal campus of the Central Sanskrit University. This workshop will continue until January 31, 2025.

The event was graced by the presence of Giridhar Rao, Academic Coordinator, Indian Language Committee, Ministry of Education, Government of India, as the Chief Guest and Special Speaker. In his address, Director Rao emphasized the importance of translation skills and linked this perspective to the entire Vedic corpus and Indian knowledge traditions. He highlighted that translation skills are essential for everyone, enabling the translation of works written in Hindi or other languages into Sanskrit.

The session was chaired by Professor Sanandan Kumar Tripathi, Coordinator of the Literature Department, Bhopal Campus. In his presidential address, he discussed various methods of translation and informed the audience that over the course of five days, participants would be taught to translate specific or significant texts. Several faculty members from the campus have been selected to receive training, and a warm welcome was extended to all.

Faculty members from the campus who have received central-level training in translation skills have been chosen as trainers for the workshop. The workshop is being coordinated by Pratap.

The event was skillfully conducted by Varun Saurabh Pokhriyal, and the organizing committee members extended their support to ensure the successful execution of the program.
