CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: As part of the plantation campaign initiated on Environment Day by the Veer Savarkar Social, Cultural, and Sports Conservation Committee, tree planting was carried out in memory of the late Ramesh Sahwani, former patron of the committee and Senior Vice President of the Yoga Research Council, on his birthday as a tribute.
On this occasion, former Minister P.C. Sharma, MLA Dinesh Gurjar, senior leader Sanjeev Saxena, District Congress President Praveen Saxena, former Councillor Jawahar Punjabi, senior journalist and President of the Yoga Research Council Sikander Ahmed, and the Council’s General Secretary Nishant Sharma, Santosh Bahre, Monu Saxena, Pratiksha Bahre, Mahendra Bundela, Yashpal Chhabra, Rajkumar Pandey, Sushil Sharma, Nitesh Nema, Himanshu Dhakad, Ramesh Patidar, Sunil Kashyap, Suresh Bhagchandani, J.P. Sharma, Dimple Srivastava, Narendra Bhanu Khandelwal, Mukesh Gupta, Shailendra Yadav, Jitendra Dhoke, Yashwant Singh Rajput, Vaibhav Vyas, Pranav Sharma, Tarun Talreja, Ankit Choukse, Durgesh Rathore, and family members Varun Sahwani, Tarun Sahwani, Tarachand Sahwani, Bharat Sahwani, Rakesh Sahwani, Kavita Sahwani, and Palak Sahwani planted trees in memory of the late Ramesh Sahwani and took a pledge for their protection.
On this occasion, around 85 saplings of guava, fig, mango, tamarind, peepal, neem, bael, etc., were planted. Most of these plants will provide dense shade, flowers, and fruits when they mature. They will also have a long lifespan and will provide ample oxygen for years to come. Everyone participated enthusiastically in this noble cause.
