CNN Central News & Network-ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: Under the Bhopal Seva Sankalp Abhiyan, a tree plantation programme was organised at Vidyavan of Babulal Gaur Government Postgraduate College, BHEL.

T.R. Mishra, senior BJP leader and Govindpura Assembly convener, and Barelāl Ahirwar, member of the Madhya Pradesh State Scheduled Castes Commission with minister of state status, were present as special guests.

Principal Dr Sanjay Jain and the guests extended birthday greetings to Hon’ble Minister Krishna Gaur in a creative manner by planting saplings with the support of National Service Scheme volunteers. Under the “Green Campus – Clean Campus” campaign, a special cleanliness drive was also conducted in the Vidyavan premises.

The college family took a pledge to maintain cleanliness on the campus and extended heartfelt congratulations and best wishes to Hon’ble Minister Krishna Gaur on her birthday, wishing her good health and a long life.

The programme conveyed the message of environmental protection, development of a green campus and care of plants. Those present pledged regular care and protection of the saplings and appealed to everyone to fulfil their responsibility towards the environment.

NSS programme officers Dr Sanjay Wankar and Dr Geeta Chauhan, administrative officer Dr Anjana Agrawal, Dr Kamlesh Negi, Dr Shivam Shukla, staff officers, employees and students were present.
