CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: Under the leadership of AIIMS Executive Professor Ajay Singh, a special tree plantation campaign was organized under the “A Tree in Mother’s Name” initiative. Professor Singh recently completed two years of dedicated service to the institute. During the campaign, a total of 101 saplings were planted to achieve “Zero Carbon, Clean Campus, and Green Campus.”
Emphasizing environmental conservation and community welfare, Professor Ajay Singh highlighted the importance of maintaining cleanliness and greenery not only within the AIIMS campus but also in its surrounding areas. He stated that a green environment significantly contributes to enhancing public health.
Professor Ajay Singh said that the tree plantation campaign symbolizes our commitment to promoting a healthy and sustainable environment. Trees play a vital role in providing us with oxygen, absorbing water, and reducing pollution. By planting trees, we can keep our surroundings clean and lay the foundation for a better future for the coming generations. He stressed that individual efforts in planting and nurturing trees can collectively make a significant difference in promoting environmental conservation and combating climate change. The event saw participation from staff, students, and members of the local community.
