CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: On the occasion of World Environment Day, a tree plantation program was organized at the Indian Sports Authority (SAI) campus in Bhopal under the joint auspices of the Central Bureau of Communication (CBC), Press Information Bureau (PIB) Bhopal, and the Indian Sports Authority, Bhopal. Alongside, as a prelude to World Yoga Day on June 21, SAI Academy players performed Vrikshasana (Tree Pose) and Tadasana (Mountain Pose) as part of Green Yoga.

On this occasion, Prashant Patharabe, Additional Director General of PIB and CBC Bhopal, and Deepak Sabu, Deputy Director of SAI Bhopal, planted saplings.

Prashant Patharabe, Additional Director General of PIB and CBC Bhopal, said that to save the environment, we must plant more and more trees. Advising to avoid single-use plastic, he quoted, “If you can’t reuse it, refuse it.” He emphasized that we should avoid using things that cannot be reused. He further stated that today, environmental problems like water pollution and air pollution confront us, and to tackle these, we need to use our resources wisely.

In the prelude program for World Yoga Day on June 21, Yoga Guru Mahesh Agrawal guided SAI Bhopal players through Vrikshasana and Tadasana as part of Green Yoga. He explained the importance of Pranayama and shared yoga tips to stay fit.

The program also saw participation from Sharik Noor, Deputy Director of CBC Bhopal; Ajay Upadhyay, Assistant Director of PIB Bhopal; Sameer Verma, Assistant Director of CBC; Ajay Sarwade, Assistant Director of SAI Bhopal; Anshika Jain; Prem Chandra Gupta, Media and Communication Officer of PIB Bhopal; and S.K. Srivastava, Administrative Officer of CBC, who also took part in the plantation drive. Employees and players from PIB, CBC, and SAI Bhopal were also present during the event.
