CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: A meeting was held in the conference room of the Secretariat to outline various programs in universities and colleges on the occasion of “Tribal Pride Day,” with in-depth discussions conducted. It was decided that on November 15, all universities and colleges in the state will hold a live broadcast of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s address at the event in Shahdol, marking the birth anniversary of great tribal freedom fighter Birsa Munda, along with floral tribute ceremonies.

Additionally, year-long activities focused on the proud history and achievements of the tribal community were planned, which will be conducted without disrupting the academic calendar. Plans were also made to establish Tribal Research and Study Centers at Rani Durgavati University in Jabalpur, Vikram University in Ujjain, and Pt. Shambhunath University in Shahdol.

The meeting included discussions on lectures, exhibitions, and cultural programs based on tribal heroes and leaders. A detailed plan was also developed for competitions on tribal themes at the college, university, and state levels. All university and college libraries are to be enriched with literature on the tribal community, and exhibitions on tribal heroes will be set up under the Indian Knowledge Tradition Cell.

The meeting was attended by Laxman Singh Markam, Additional Secretary to the Chief Minister’s Office; Anjali Joseph, Deputy Secretary of Technical Education; Sanghamitra Gautam, Deputy Secretary of Higher Education; Prof. Vishal Banne, Head of the Tribal Studies Department, Rani Durgavati University, Jabalpur; Prof. Ravindra Randa from Rajiv Gandhi Technological University, Bhopal; Prof. Gajendra Arya, Dhirendra Shukla, along with several social workers and officials.
