CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: Water Resources Minister Tulsi Ram Silawat participated in the cleanliness, beautification, and water conservation program at the immersion ghat of Ban Ganga River in Eintkhedi on Tuesday, under the Water Ganga Conservation Campaign. He paid tribute to the martyrs at the Martyrs’ Memorial, remembering their sacrifices and dedication.
The program was attended by MLA Vishnu Khatri, District Panchayat President Mohan Singh Jat, Janpad Panchayat President Pramod Rajput, Sarpanch Hari Singh Saini, Teerath Singh Meena, CEO of District Panchayat Ila Tiwari, and other concerned officials.
Minister Silawat urged everyone to cooperate in the campaign to fulfill the water conservation pledge made by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Mohan Yadav. He mentioned that Prime Minister Modi had emphasized the need for water conservation for 13 minutes during his ‘Mann Ki Baat’ program. Preserving water for the future is essential, as nothing is possible without water.
Minister Silawat called for a public movement to carry out this work and said that labor donation should be incorporated into daily routines at the village, district, state, and national levels. He mentioned that there are 70 Amrit Sarovars in the Berasia assembly constituency, which need to be conserved. He also urged the planting of ‘One Tree in the Name of Mother.’
Director Silawat requested everyone’s participation in the Water Ganga Conservation Campaign, which will run from March 30 to June 30. He called on all sections of society to pledge to participate in water conservation efforts and urged labor donation for the preservation of water sources at historical and religious sites. He emphasized that progress on the ground should be visible and warned that strict action would be taken against those who are negligent in their duties. He also directed the complete removal of encroachments on water sources.
