CNN Central News & Network-ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: As an important facility for rail passengers of Kolaras and nearby areas, a trial stoppage of the Ujjaini Express has begun at Kolaras railway station. Union Minister for Communications and Development of North Eastern Region, Government of India, Jyotiraditya M. Scindia flagged off the trial stoppage of the Ujjaini Express at a programme held at Kolaras railway station.
With the objective of improving passenger convenience and further strengthening regional rail connectivity, train number 14309/14310 Lakshmibai Nagar – Yog Nagari Rishikesh – Lakshmibai Nagar Ujjaini Express has been given a two-minute halt at Kolaras station in the Bhopal division. Train number 14310 Yog Nagari Rishikesh – Lakshmibai Nagar Ujjaini Express will arrive at Kolaras station at 20:43 and depart at 20:45. This stoppage is effective from September 1, 2026. Train number 14309 Lakshmibai Nagar – Yog Nagari Rishikesh Ujjaini Express will arrive at Kolaras station at 23:34 and depart at 23:36. Its stoppage will be effective from September 2, 2026.
The halt of the Ujjaini Express at Kolaras station will directly provide better rail travel facilities to passengers from Kolaras and nearby areas. Through this stoppage, passengers will get a convenient rail travel option to Yog Nagari Rishikesh, Lakshmibai Nagar and major stations along the route by the Ujjaini Express.
This stoppage is an important step towards meeting a long-standing passenger convenience requirement of the region. It is expected to boost local movement as well as social, economic and tourism-related activities in the area.
On the occasion, Kolaras MLA Mahendra Ramsingh Yadav, Shivpuri Zila Panchayat chairperson Neha Yadav, Kolaras Municipal Council chairperson Priyanka Shivhare, BJP Shivpuri district president Jasmant Jatav and other dignitaries, media representatives and, from the railway administration, Additional Divisional Railway Manager Yogendra Baghel, Senior Divisional Commercial Manager Saurabh Kataria, other railway officers and employees, along with a large number of passengers, were present.
The Bhopal division is making continuous efforts to expand passenger amenities and improve rail connectivity, keeping in mind the needs of passengers and the demands of the region. The halt of the Ujjaini Express at Kolaras station is an important initiative in this direction and will provide more convenient and better rail service to passengers of the area.
