CNN Central News & Network-ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: Bhopal: The second day of the two-day mega career guidance programme, CareerNext – Career Discovery Industry Boot Camp, organised by Scope Global Skills University and Rabindranath Tagore University, was marked by an inspirational session from noted motivational speaker and business coach Ujjwal Patni.

In his special address, “Dream Career to Dream Life,” he shared important principles of success, self-confidence, personality development and career building with students.

Among those present were Scope Global Skills University Chancellor Siddharth Chaturvedi, Vice-Chancellor Vijay Singh, Registrar Sitesh Kumar Sinha, and Rabindranath Tagore University Pro-Vice Chancellor Sanjeev Kumar Gupta, along with a large number of students and academicians.

Addressing the students, Patni advised them to adopt the formula of a daily self-audit. He said students should write down one thing each day that made them proud and one thing they should not have done. He said this practice gradually develops self-discipline and helps people correct their shortcomings.

Explaining the concept of an “Extra Mindset,” he said every young person should develop some additional abilities that set them apart from the crowd. He said that if individuals keep improving themselves continuously, their usefulness and uniqueness will remain intact.

Discussing the “One Percent Better” principle, he said major changes in life do not come all at once, but are the result of small improvements and consistent effort. If a person tries to become just one percent better every day, their personality and performance can change completely over time, he said.

Patni told students not to limit themselves to academics during college life and said they should pay equal attention to skills, networking, industry exposure and a positive mindset. He said this is no longer the age of theoretical education alone, but of industry-integrated and skill-based learning.

Sharing his personal experience, he said he was an average student during his school days, but his desire to keep learning and improving himself showed him the path to becoming a doctor, author and successful business coach. He told students, “If I can cross my limits, you too can certainly turn your dreams into reality.”

Referring to the growing impact of Artificial Intelligence, he said the future will belong to specialists. In the age of AI, the space for average performers will continue to shrink, he said, adding that young people need to become experts in their chosen fields and keep updating themselves continuously.

Earlier, in various career orientation sessions, Semetrics Chief Executive Officer Sunny Pathak, Tushendra Barpanda of the Indian Institute of Banking and Finance, Vikram Choudhary of MSEED, Pulakesh Purakait of IICA, Nandini of ITHS and Ajay Katana of Geeks of Gurukul informed students about career opportunities in banking, finance, health sciences, technology and other emerging sectors.

During the programme, students were also introduced to employment and career prospects in Artificial Intelligence, technology management, animation and film-making, design, media, entrepreneurship and other modern fields. They also got an opportunity to interact with industry experts, receive career counselling and build networks.

On the occasion, Scope Global Skills University Chancellor Siddharth Chaturvedi said CareerNext aims to provide students with the right career direction and familiarise them with the real requirements of industry so that they can make better and informed decisions about their future.

Rabindranath Tagore University Chancellor Aditi Chaturvedi Vats said that in today’s competitive era, academic qualifications alone are not enough. Students must develop industry-based skills, practical experience and competencies aligned with future needs. She said programmes like CareerNext play an important role in preparing youth for future challenges and opportunities.
