CNN Central News & Networks / ITDC India ePress / ITDC News /Agencies/ Bhopal: Unusual Scene in Maharashtra Politics as Fadnavis, Thackeray Brothers Share Stage
Mumbai. Maharashtra politics witnessed an unusual scene that increased discussion in political circles. Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis and the two prominent faces of the Thackeray family, Uddhav Thackeray and Raj Thackeray, were seen on the same stage. The presence together of these leaders, who are generally seen in different political camps, made the event special.
Cartoonists’ exhibition and book release organised
The occasion was an event in Mumbai linked to a cartoonists’ gallery and a book release. People connected with different areas of political and public life were present at the event. During this, Fadnavis, Uddhav Thackeray and Raj Thackeray were seen on one stage. The nature of the programme was linked to art and satire rather than a political meeting.
Shared stage amid political differences
In Maharashtra politics, Fadnavis, Uddhav Thackeray and Raj Thackeray are known for different political roles and ideological backgrounds. In such a situation, the three leaders sharing a stage became a subject of discussion. However, appearing together at a cultural or public event cannot in itself be considered a sign of a change in political equations or any new alliance. The meeting did show that despite political differences, leaders of various parties can be present together at public and cultural events.
