CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal : On Teachers’ Day, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath unveiled a significant welfare initiative for educators across the state. In his address at the Lok Bhavan Auditorium in Lucknow, CM Yogi announced that all teachers—including those in primary, upper-primary, secondary, aided schools, colleges, Shiksha Mitras, instructors, and cooks—will now have access to cashless medical treatment. This landmark decision is set to benefit approximately nine lakh teacher families, ensuring that financial constraints will no longer hinder access to healthcare in times of illness or emergency. The Chief Minister emphasized that this move is a token of the government’s gratitude for teachers’ invaluable contributions to society.
In addition to this, CM Yogi honored 81 educators with the State Teacher Award, distributed tablets to principals of 2,204 government secondary schools, and inaugurated smart classrooms in 1,236 schools. He also launched the ‘Udgam’ digital platform, aimed at promoting innovative educational practices, and released the children’s story collection ‘Gullak’ and the ‘Bal Vatika’ handbook. These initiatives reflect the government’s commitment to enhancing the quality of education and supporting its educators.
