CNN Central News & Network-ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: The Uttar Pradesh Education Services Selection Commission (UPESSC) has issued the notification for PGT Recruitment 2026. Under this recruitment drive, appointments will be made to a total of 2,607 lecturer posts. The online application process will begin on September 18, 2026, and candidates will be able to deposit the application fee until October 17. OTR, or One Time Registration, has been made mandatory in the application process.

Changes have also been made to the recruitment examination pattern. Under the revised system, the examination will have a total of 120 questions. Of these, 90 questions will be from the relevant subject and 30 questions from general studies. Each question will carry three marks, and the examination will be for a total of 360 marks. The examination will be of two hours’ duration and will be conducted in OMR-based offline mode.

UPESSC has also released the revised syllabus for TGT-PGT. Candidates have been advised to prepare according to the new subject-wise syllabus and examination pattern. Information has also emerged that the syllabus will be made available in English along with Hindi.

Rules related to reservation are also important in the recruitment process. Candidates from reserved categories will receive benefits as per government rules. Before applying, candidates should carefully check the conditions related to their educational qualifications, reservation category and certificates in the official advertisement.
