CNN Central News & Network-ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: Several important proposals may be decided at the Uttar Pradesh cabinet meeting to be held on Tuesday, September 15, under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. Key among them are proposals to increase the daily duty allowance of Provincial Rakshak Dal, or PRD, personnel and to turn government schools into smart schools.

According to the proposal, the daily allowance of PRD personnel may be increased from Rs 500 to Rs 600. A proposal to provide cashless treatment facilities to the personnel and their dependent family members will also be placed before the meeting. Different reports have put the number of beneficiary personnel between 27,000 and 40,000. The final number and provisions will become clear after the cabinet decision.

In the education sector, the proposal to develop 14,429 council primary schools as smart schools is also significant. A budget provision of about Rs 300 crore has been proposed for this. Proposals such as the formation of 900 new courts, long-term loans of up to Rs 6 lakh to farmers at 6 percent interest, and an increase of Rs 25 per quintal in the margin of ration quota dealers may also be considered.

Around 18 proposals are proposed for discussion in the cabinet meeting. The final decision on them will be clear only after the meeting.
