The Uttar Pradesh Education Service Selection Commission (UPESSC), Prayagraj, has issued an advertisement for recruitment to 17,735 posts of Trained Graduate Teacher (TGT) in aided non-government secondary schools. The online application process began on October 24, 2026. Interested and eligible candidates can apply through the commission’s official website.
The highest number of posts in the recruitment has been earmarked for Hindi, with 2,791 vacancies. Appointments will also be made in various subjects including English, science, social science and mathematics. Of the total vacancies, 16,193 posts are for boys’ schools and 1,542 posts are for girls’ schools. The full subject-wise vacancy details are available in the commission’s advertisement.
For the recruitment, the minimum age has been fixed at 21 years and the maximum age at 62 years. Age will be calculated on the basis of July 1, 2026. Relaxation for reserved categories and other conditions will apply as per rules. Before applying, candidates should check the educational qualification for the relevant subject, BEd or the prescribed teacher training qualification, and the applicable Teacher Eligibility Test (TET) rules.
The online application and registration process began on October 24. The last date for depositing the application fee has been fixed as November 23, 2026, while corrections in the application can be made until November 26. The written examination is proposed on December 23 and 24, 2026.
To apply, candidates must first visit the commission’s official website, upessc.up.gov.in, and complete the mandatory One Time Registration (OTR). After this, they must fill the application form under recruitment advertisement number 07/2026, upload the required documents and deposit the prescribed fee. The commission has advised candidates to carefully read all instructions, subject-wise qualifications and reservation provisions given in the official advertisement before submitting the application.
