CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: Uruguay manager Marcelo Bielsa has included six new players in his squad for the FIFA World Cup qualifiers against Argentina and Bolivia.
The new players selected by Bielsa come from local clubs, including forward Pablo Suarez, midfielders Germán Barbas and Erico Cuello, defender Patricio Pacífico, center-back Paolo Callion, and winger Lucas Agazzi.
As expected, Liverpool forward Darwin Núñez, Real Madrid midfielder Federico Valverde, Tottenham midfielder Rodrigo Bentancur, and Barcelona defender Ronald Araújo have also been included in the squad.
Uruguay will face Argentina in Montevideo on Friday, followed by a match against Bolivia in El Alto next Tuesday.
In the ten-team South American qualifying group standings, Uruguay is in second place with 20 points from 12 matches, while Argentina leads the table with 25 points.
