Mumbai. Actress Urvashi Rautela’s team has said it is considering legal action against a Los Angeles-based artificial intelligence company. The team has alleged that the company commercially used Urvashi’s name, photographs and videos without permission. Her team said the alleged damages have been assessed at around ₹7,000 crore.

In a statement issued by Urvashi’s team, it said the company allegedly gained large-scale commercial value by using her identity and visual material. The team said no company should commercially use Urvashi’s name or identity without her permission. However, the name of the company concerned was not clearly disclosed in the public statement.

Amid the dispute, Sheeraz Hasan, founder and chief executive officer of the AI company, has also responded. Questioning the allegations made by Urvashi’s team, he said full information should be obtained before making any public statement on the matter. With statements from both sides, the dispute has now also become a topic of discussion on social media.

For now, the ₹7,000 crore figure is the potential damage amount assessed by Urvashi’s team. It is not damages determined by any court or a final judicial ruling. The status of the allegations and the claim may become clearer during the further legal process in the case.
