Meteorological departments have predicted continued rainfall in the coming days, which has raised concerns over further damage and risk to life. Authorities are on high alert, and 24×7 control rooms have been activated. The disaster highlights the urgent need for better urban drainage systems and preparedness in the face of climate change.
