CNN Central News & Network-ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: The Government of Uttar Pradesh celebrated World Youth Skills Day 2026 by honoring young individuals who achieved self-reliance through employment and entrepreneurship after receiving training under the Uttar Pradesh Skill Development Mission and Industrial Training Institutes (ITIs). The event, held in Lucknow, recognized the achievements of skilled youth who have successfully transformed vocational education into sustainable careers and business opportunities. During the programme, the Department of Vocational Education, Skill Development and Entrepreneurship, along with the Uttar Pradesh Skill Development Mission, also released the publication 'Kaushalam', highlighting key achievements and initiatives undertaken across the state during the Central Government's successful twelve years in office. The booklet showcases advancements in vocational education, skill enhancement, entrepreneurship promotion, and employment generation, reflecting the government's focus on building a future-ready workforce. Officials emphasized that skill development remains a key driver of economic growth, innovation, and youth empowerment, enabling young people to contribute meaningfully to the nation's progress. The event also encouraged greater participation in vocational training programmes and entrepreneurship initiatives aimed at enhancing employability.
