CNN Central News & Network-ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: The Uttar Pradesh State Disaster Management Authority (UPSDMA) inaugurated its new headquarters in Lucknow, constructed at a cost of over ₹200 crore, marking a significant step toward strengthening the state's disaster preparedness and emergency response capabilities. During the ceremony, the official website of the authority was also launched to improve public access to disaster-related information, emergency services, and preparedness resources.

The event additionally recognized the exemplary services of eight personnel from the State Disaster Response Force (SDRF), Provincial Armed Constabulary (PAC), and Fire Services for their outstanding contributions to rescue and relief operations during emergencies. Addressing the gathering, officials emphasized the importance of building a resilient Uttar Pradesh where every citizen remains aware, prepared, and capable of fulfilling their responsibilities during natural disasters and other crises.

The new headquarters is expected to enhance coordination among various departments, improve disaster monitoring systems, strengthen emergency planning, and facilitate faster response during critical situations.
