CNN Central News & Network-ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: Mumbai. Siddharth Malhotra and Tamannaah Bhatia’s film ‘The Vaan: Force of the Forest’ was released in theatres on September 25. Ahead of its release, there was strong box-office discussion around the film’s advance booking. Based on early figures, the film is expected to get a good start on its opening day.
According to a box-office tracking report, the film recorded gross business of around Rs 2.47 crore in first-day advance booking, with more than 1.17 lakh tickets sold. Some reports have estimated its first-day earnings in the range of Rs 6 crore to Rs 9 crore.
The film’s Chhath Puja-related theme, along with mystery, fear and a mythological backdrop, could play an important role in its performance. Reports indicate a better response in advance booking from markets such as Bihar and Uttar Pradesh.
The opening is also being seen as significant for Tamannaah Bhatia. According to a Koimoi report, current estimates could take the film towards the fourth-biggest opening among the actress’s Bollywood films. However, the final position will become clear only after the actual box-office figures are released.
At the box office, the film is also facing competition from ‘Avengers: Endgame Encore’. In addition, new releases and audience response in the coming days could affect the film’s earnings.
