CNN Central News & Network-ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: Young Indian cricket batter Vaibhav Suryavanshi drew attention with his explosive batting during a practice session in Ranchi. Ahead of the second T20 match between India and the West Indies, the 15-year-old Vaibhav showcased his aggressive style by repeatedly hitting fours and sixes in the nets. Police personnel, spectators and media present at the ground also kept their eyes fixed on the nets to watch his batting.
During Vaibhav’s big shots, Indian team head coach Gautam Gambhir was also seen watching him closely. His reaction has become a topic of discussion on social media. After a video of Vaibhav’s batting surfaced, fans also began discussing the possibility of him being included in the playing XI for the second T20 match.
Vaibhav did not get a place in the final eleven in the first match of the series against the West Indies. With experienced opener Sanju Samson in the side, the young player may have to wait for his opportunity. Earlier, Gambhir had also praised Vaibhav’s talent and good form, saying patience is necessary to earn a place in the team. However, despite his impressive performance in the nets, whether Vaibhav gets a chance in the second T20 will be decided by the team management.
