CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal  : The Regional Museum of Natural History, Bhopal (a regional center of the National Museum of Natural History, New Delhi), organized a study tour to Van Vihar National Park, Bhopal for participants of the Summer Nature Study Program – Harit Shavak and Harit Kishore – with the objective of studying animals and birds in their natural habitat.

During the program, experts from the Bhopal Birds volunteer organization, Dr. Sangeeta Rajgir and Mr. Mohammad Khalik, were present. Mr. Mohammad Khalik provided in-depth insights into the behavior of wildlife and their role in nature, inspiring the participants to contribute actively to nature conservation.

During this educational tour, participants observed various bird species such as the Grey Heron, Baya Weaver, Bronze-winged Jacana, Red-vented Bulbul, White-throated Kingfisher, Peacock, Pond Heron, Purple Sunbird, Black Bittern, Night Heron, Koel, Black-winged Stilt, and Magpie Robin. They also learned to recognize bird calls, nesting behavior, foraging techniques, and their tendency to live in flocks.

Similarly, participants identified animals such as wild boars, deer, and crocodiles. They discussed their social behaviors such as moving in groups, communicating through signals, and displaying alertness during threats. The tour also covered the ecological roles of these animals and the importance of their conservation.
